An account of my work with Lee Konitz is given in the Audio Journal section of this web site, where there are also three tracks from a live 1966 recording. On this recording, which was recorded at Club 43, Manchester, Lee is accompanied by Derek Bailey, guitar; Gavin Bryars, bass; Tony Oxley, drums. This was part of a northern tour that began in the Student’s Union at Sheffield University and March 15. I reproduce the poster from that opening event here, and also a composite picture of the trio from that time.
Sadly, Lee died on April 15, a few days after this was written.
